Headshot studio sessions are located at 24 Roland St. Boston MA 02129. It is easily accessible from north, south, and metro west via car (from I-93 take exit 28) or public transportation (via the Orange Line). You can download directions here. The studio is equipped with a full infinity backdrop, extensive lighting system, wifi access, a separate green room, and a separate hair/makeup/wardrobe area.
The studio has plenty of free parking in front of the studio.
Your session fee includes a pre-consultation call to answer any questions you have, as well as coordinate details to make your headshot session go as smoothly as possible. Preparation is everything. Remember, my goal is to make you look your best for the world to see - an authentic, confident, and genuine look that brings to life the real you.
Coaching and direction
Great headshots don't happen by accident. What I do is all about capturing your face & unique expressions, and with over three decades of experience capturing authentic and genuine photographs, I have a process and approach that is successful in doing that. Many people say they don't like having their photograph taken. I assure you that our time together will be smooth and easy as I provide you with simple direction and positive reinforcement. Deciding what to wear in your picture can be difficult. I recommend bringing 2-3 options of your favorite outfits with you and together we will choose the one that compliments you best. In general, more plain tops with neutral colors or color that complement your eyes and skin tone are best. Please review my pre-session preparation guidelines for business/professional and actor/entertainer/social profile headshots. Do not hesitate to contact the studio with any questions you may have about your headshot.
I shoot exclusively with a white background. Through lighting adjustments I can make it look black or gray. Obviously, for on-location sessions the location will determine the best background based on your location, outfit, time of day, etc.
Each person will receive one headshot (unless otherwise noted on the booking invoice) totaling two (2) files: 1x square (cropped head) print resolution (300dpi) file and 1x square (cropped head) online (72dpi) resolution file. For entertainer headshots, the crop will be standard 8x10.
My goal and my reputation are to deliver the best headshots and images possible. That is why I don't provide additional images beyond the 1 or 2 in a given package, nor did do I ever provide RAW or unedited files under any circumstances. I want you to be proud of the headshots I provide. And I want to ensure my reputation and standard of quality in all work that I do.
Rush retouching/Delivery Fee
Once you select your headshot from the options, it will be retouched to present your best image. This generally takes 48-72 hours for delivery of the final digital files. If you require a faster turnaround or delivery, there is a rush charge of $200.00.
Payment and cancellations
Full session payment is due, via credit card or corporate check, at the time of booking and will serve as your non-refundable deposit to reserve your session’s date and time. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Projects exceeding $5,000.00 in total value require a 50% deposit. No image(s) will be released until payment is received in full..
Cancellations 72+ hours prior to your session can be rescheduled within 3 days from the time of cancellation using your original session fee. After 3 days, a new additional session fee is required.
Cancellation less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment forfeits the original session fee and requires a new additional session fee to reschedule. Cancellation of on-location and group sessions forfeits the original session fee and is assessed a $500.00 cancellation/rescheduling fee
If you are no-call/no-show for your scheduled appointment, you forfeit your session fee and will not be able to reschedule. Please notify the studio as soon as you know you may need to reschedule.
Veteran & Active Duty service member special pricing
As a Veteran owned business I am proud and privileged to provide special sessions and pricing for active duty and recently separated military personnel. Please contact the studio to discuss pricing options and details for your specific needs.
I take pride in returning your high-quality retouched images as quickly as possible. Due to differences in job sizes and scope, the turnaround times on your images may differ from others. I will lay out a plan with you upon booking, which will be reviewed at the end of our shoot.
Office Session space requirements
A minimum 12′ x 16′ space cleared of furniture is needed for office and other indoor location sessions. If you’re unsure about available space, please contact the studio so we can discuss alternatives within your office environment.
Office Session power needs
My lighting equipment and computer require access to AC power, preferably 2-4 outlets. Please ensure your office or other indoor location use have available power outlets for your headshot session.
Office Session pre-session scouting
In order to minimize stress prior to your office or other indoor location headshot session, it's often helpful if I look at the location ahead of time. This generally takes less 15 minutes and eliminates surprises on the day of your headshot session. We can discuss during your pre-consultation call.
